Herald Park's most unique feature is Margaret Falls on Reinecker Creek. The falls feature a Lower Mainland feel, as there are large western red cedars here. The falls can be reached via a short five-minute walk along a wooded path. Herald Provincial Park supplies a picnic area, more than one km of sandy beach and a boat launch ramp.

Shuswap Lake Provincial Park is the largest provincial park on Shuswap Lake. This 272-site park is located on the former delta to Scotch Creek. This park features excellent swimming and sunbathing along its long stretch of beach. Boater can access hiking trails on the picturesque Copper Island, about 2km off shore. There is an RV sani-station and nearby stores can be accessed on foot so visitors can stock up their supplies.

RECREATION: Water-skiing, sea-dooing, windsurfing swimming, power boating, sailing and house boating are the most popular summertime activities on Shuswap Lake.
